A Quick Look at Accomplish LM with Sidedress

Written by Agricen | June 25, 2014

Why would a grower apply Accomplish LM with sidedress nitrogen? For benefits that include better plant and root growth, improved nitrogen use efficiency and increased yields at the end of the season.

The only difference between the plants shown in Figure 1 is an application of Accomplish LM at sidedress – with noticeably better root development seen with Accomplish LM treatment (right).

Figure 1. Better root development when Accomplish LM is added to sidedress in a corn trial in Blissfield, Michigan.

Yields in these Indiana corn trials were substantially higher when Accomplish LM was added to the sidedress application (Figures 2-3).

Accomplish LM can also be used with Instinct® II nitrogen stabilizer at sidedress. These are two complementary technologies: Accomplish LM increases nutrient availability and facilitates uptake, while Instinct II helps to keep the nitrogen in the NH4 form. This helps growers maximize their yield potential (Figures 4-5).
